Meet the team
frederick began working for salvatore sciarpa owner of westmar transmission in 1988 as an apprentice, under sal’s guidance frederick learned skills that he still uses to this day. “I owe a lot to Sal, he treated me well, he taught me a lot of skills and now I wish him well in retirement”. In 1992 frederick went to Eagle Transmission to further hone his skills, moving up to the ranks. Hired as lead technician, he moved to swingman, then transmission builder and finally head re-builder. frederick became the lead builder in 2002. After 3 years as lead builder frederick decided the next step would be to own his own shop. leaving eagle transmission in 2004 he opened up a competing transmission (the transmission clinic) repair shop (that is open to this day). In 2009 frederick was approached by the owner of eagle transmission service inc. with the opportunity to purchase it. frederick wasted little time in deciding that would be a great opportunity. In 2023 I was presented an opportunity to purchase airport transmission. He has added his own touch and customer love it. Currently we own airport transmission, the transmission clinic, eagle transmission and milt & rons transmission are all owned by the Rochester transmission group under frederick’s leadership. we welcome anyone to come in and meet frederick with any questions or concerns you have.
mike began his career at eagle transmission, starting as a tear down man. working his way to r&r technican. When frederick left to start his own business, mike join him and in the spring of 2006 at the transmission clinic. Mike’s hard work and dedication is what has made the business very successful with many repeat customers. He is now Store Manager and lead technician of Airport Transmission. mike has an excellent knowledge of how each transmission work, and a deep understanding of the electronics. if mike cant find the electronic issue then there isn’t one. mike understands the importance that a customer must come first. mike takes the time to thoroughly explaining what needs to be done in order to get your vehicle on the road and repaired correctly the first time. We have developed certain procedures that ensure our repair is a long lasting repair.
mike is the newest addition to airport transmission. under frederick’s and mike’s tutelage, michael is quickly becoming an asset to airport. His desire to learn and his dedication are qualities that we look for at airport transmission. Michael is not afraid to get his hands dirty and his desire to learn is like a sponge soaking up water. michael exhibits unwavering dedication, resilience, and initiative in his tasks. He possess a strong work ethic, consistently meeting or surpassing expectations. His commitment is evident through his persistence in overcoming challenges and their willingness to go the extra mile to achieve goals. He displays reliability, accountability, and a proactive attitude, often taking the lead.He is inspiring others through their industriousness. Hard workers demonstrate continuous improvement, adaptability, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in his endeavors. We will continue to invest in michael and his ability to succeed.
